The promising future of Dementia

Dementia is a unique condition where there is no certainty on how to prevent or prolong it. Over the years, research has exposed particular factors can cause Dementia. However, some of these are out of our control.

It all comes down to choices. Your lifestyle can have a significant impact on when in your life you are affected by Dementia. Some people say trying to learn new things like music, languages and completing puzzles can help keep your brain active. Also, regular exercise and good food will help keep the condition at bay as it gives the brain the nutrition it needs to feel young.

Attached is a Ted Talk from neuroscientist and author of "Still Alice," Lisa Genova who talks about the latest and promising findings of Alzheimer's.
